All of yours or your company's data is saved only in your computer in the working directory C:\BTAX. We do not have any of your data in our database. You must use the same computer or move the files to a new computer using SAVE and LOAD to be able to see what you have previously entered. Or you can copy the entire working directory to a new computer.
The web site needs to download PDF files from our database and web server to your computer. You can not PRINT or PAY unless the web site can download these files. The web site will try to open a connection on port 80 from your computer to the web server you are currently using such as www.taxsoftware.com and the database server www.taxsoft.com You must permit this connection. If the Java™ is not showing up and you get just a gray box:
1) Make sure you say YES to all security questions.
2) Make sure you have installed all "critical" security patches recommended by Microsoft at http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com You do not need to install any optional patches. Microsoft recommends you regularly install all "critical" security patches from this website.
